Flaxseeds Ladoo

Serves: 18 to 20 ladoos
- ½ cup flax seeds roasted
- ½ cup mixed nuts (cashew + walnuts + almond)
- ¼ cup roasted channa dal (Pottukadalai / chatni dal)
- 4 figs
- 1 cup jaggery powder
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tsp ginger powder
- 1 to 2 tablespoon coconut milk
- Dry roast the flax seeds, nuts and channa dal separately.
- In a food processor / grinder, powder the nuts first.
- Add the flax seeds and roasted channa dal and powder all together.
- Finally add the figs, jaggery powder, cardamom powder and ginger powder and blend all together.
- The mixture should not be dry, it should hold together. Jaggery and Figs help in binding.
- Take the mixture in a bowl. If its too dry, add coconut milk slowly and mix together. You may not require 2 tablespoon of coconut milk.
- Take lemon sized balls & make ladoos.
- Roll them in desiccated coconut.
If you are allergic to nuts you can add ½ cup mixed seeds (pumpkin + watermelon + sunflower, etc) instead of nuts
