Flaxseeds Ladoo

Ingredients
  • ½ cup flax seeds roasted
  • ½ cup mixed nuts (cashew + walnuts + almond)
  • ¼ cup roasted channa dal (Pottukadalai / chatni dal)
  • 4 figs
  • 1 cup jaggery powder
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 to 2 tablespoon coconut milk
Instructions
  1. Dry roast the flax seeds, nuts and channa dal separately.
  2. In a food processor / grinder, powder the nuts first.
  3. Add the flax seeds and roasted channa dal and powder all together.
  4. Finally add the figs, jaggery powder, cardamom powder and ginger powder and blend all together.
  5. The mixture should not be dry, it should hold together. Jaggery and Figs help in binding.
  6. Take the mixture in a bowl. If its too dry, add coconut milk slowly and mix together. You may not require 2 tablespoon of coconut milk.
  7. Take lemon sized balls & make ladoos.
  8. Roll them in desiccated coconut.
Notes
If you are allergic to nuts you can add ½ cup mixed seeds (pumpkin + watermelon + sunflower, etc) instead of nuts
