Ingredients

Ragi flour
½
cup
jaggery powder
½
cup
freshly grated coconut
½
cup
cup water

white sesame seeds (til / ellu)

cardamom powder
Instructions
Mix water, jaggery powder, coconut, sesame seeds and bring to a boil.
When the jaggery melts and water starts boiling, reduce the flame and add the ragi flour to it. Mix well.
Switch off the flame and mix till it becomes a lump. Let it cool
Once cooled, knead to a smooth dough. Add a few drops of oil, if you feel so.
Divide the dough into lemon sized balls.
Keep the ball between 2 oiled baking sheet / aluminium foil / plastic sheet.
Roll into fairly thick rotis (not very thin).
Alternately, you can keep the ball between 2 oiled baking sheet in a roti press / puri press to make rotis.
Cook on a very low heat on both sides till they just turn brown. Do not over cook
Notes
Sweetness depends on the quality of jaggery. I needed only half cup jaggery powder.
Adjust the sweetness as per your family levels.
If you are using whole jaggery, either grate them or powder them.
